This an ideal drafting table to use for cartooning. I really like the tray with indivual holes to hold my drawing pencils and fine art pens. The table area is smooth and does not hinder the creating of fine art. Great little drafting table at an excellent bargain.

This desk is really an attractive piece of furniture if you manage to put it together right. there are many steps and the instructions come with zero words. you should put it together only by looking at photos. some people may be okay with this, others might not. however, in the instruction booklet you will find a number listed at the bottom of every page that you may call to hook up you with a person that will guide you through assembly for anyone who is unsure about something. it is extremely easy to make a blunder which can potentially conclude messing up the finished product, but perhaps that is the risk you have in buying a merchandise that isn't pre-assembled.i like the rich dark color and texture of the "timber" it really is made out of. at first glance (and touch) it really does seem like it's real lumber. although, as different reviewers have noted it can scratch very easily. you just have to be very careful when setting up it and transporting it. it should endure daily tasks easily though. i wrapped my desk in older towels when shifting it and the finish is fine.i do not understand why other persons have complained about the merchandise not being real wood. i was never beneath the impression that's what i was getting when i purchased this. if having a desk made out of solid wood is vital that you you then it would probably be best to begin looking at desks within a higher price point.general for the amount of money you pay it is great, my only complaint may be the instruction manual that is included with it and the toughness of the finish. this piece won't transport well.pros: value, attractive, storage, largecons: not durable, not transportable, difficult assembly
