This desk is really an attractive piece of furniture if you manage to put it together right. there are many steps and the instructions include zero words. you should put it together only by looking at pics. some people may be ok with this, others might not. nevertheless, in the instruction booklet you will find a number listed at the bottom of every page that you can call to hook up you with a person that will guide you through assembly if you are unsure about something. it is very easy to make a mistake which can potentially finish up messing up the finished product, but perhaps this is the risk you have in buying a merchandise that isn't pre-assembled.i really like the rich dark color and texture of the "wood" it really is made out of. initially (and touch) it really does seem to be like it's real real wood. although, as other reviewers have noted it can scratch very easily. you merely have to be very careful when construction it and transporting it. it will endure daily tasks very easily though. i wrapped my desk in previous towels when moving it and the finish is fine.i do not understand why other persons have complained about the merchandise not being real hardwood. i was never under the impression that's what i was obtaining when i ordered this. if having a desk made out of solid wood is vital that you you then it would probably be best to begin looking at desks within an increased price point.total for the money you pay it really is great, my simply complaint may be the instruction manual that comes with it and the strength of the finish. this piece won't transport well.pros: value, attractive, storage space, largecons: not durable, not transportable, difficult assembly

I love the 2 2 drawer lateral filing cabinet that I had purchased. It was easy to put together. The instructions was easy to understand. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone.
